Leaderboards

Tables of best scores that players compete in, for all time or every day, week, month, or year.

Try each example, then copy the words under it and paste them to your AI. You can also send your AI the link to an example.

Best scores

The leaderboard module keeps a table of each player's best score and shows it over the game. Leaderboards are part of Minimo Games Pro, with up to 5 in every game.

A table of best scores

Players post their score when a run ends, and the game shows the best ones in a ready-made table over the game, so asking for it costs your AI almost nothing. A leaderboard can last forever or start again every day, week, month, or year, players can look at the previous one, and it can rank the highest score, for points, or the lowest, for times.

Tap to play a round. Here the scores and your name stay on this device, as a light user's do.

Ask your AI

Add a leaderboard of the best scores that starts again every day, and show the top 10 when a run ends.

View code
const best = new Leaderboard(game, "best");
await best.submit(score);
await best.show({ top: 10 });

Accounts or light users

A leaderboard is either one table for everybody, for players signed in to Minimo Games, or a table of each player's own scores.

With accounts, every player sees the same table, and a player who is not signed in is asked to sign in; their score is kept and saved when they come back. With light users, players need no account: they type a name once on their device, and their scores stay there, so each player sees only their own. A leaderboard can also show no names, or give each player a name of its own, such as Blue Fox 42.

Ask your AI

Make the leaderboard for light users, so players need no account and keep their own best scores.

Your leaderboards

Your AI sets them up; you see, empty, and delete them on the website.

Your leaderboards

Your AI creates and changes them; you see, empty, and delete them on your game's page in My games.

Your AI creates and changes your game's leaderboards, because it writes the code that uses them: ask it for a new one, or to change when one resets, which score is better, or how it names players. Changing when a leaderboard resets, which score is better, or its players empties it. To see their scores, or to empty or delete one, open My games, then your game, then Leaderboards, which a phone keeps under More. That applies to the game at once, without publishing it again. If you leave Minimo Games Pro, your leaderboards and their scores are kept, but the game saves no new records until you return.
