Game recipes

Small complete games to play, each with the words that ask your AI for one like it.

Try each example, then copy the words under it and paste them to your AI. You can also send your AI the link to an example.

Play, then ask

Each of these is a whole game in a few lines of description. Ask for one, then make it yours: your characters, your world, your rules.

Catch

Things fall from the sky. Catch the good ones, dodge the bad ones.

Hold and move your finger to slide the tray.

Ask your AI

Make a catching game: the player slides a tray along the bottom to catch falling coins and avoid falling red balls. Each coin scores a point, and three red balls end the game. Make it get harder slowly as the score grows.

View code
// every frame:
for (const item of falling) {
  if (game.overlap(item, tray)) item.isCoin ? score++ : lives--;
}

Tap the targets

Stars appear for a moment. Tap them before they vanish.

Tap the stars.

Ask your AI

Make a reflex game: stars appear at random places and vanish after a moment. Tapping a star makes it burst and scores a point; three missed stars end the game. Make it get harder slowly as the score grows.

View code
if (game.isPointerPressedOverSprite(star)) {
  game.animateExplode(star);
  score++;
}

Runner

The ball rolls forward on its own. Jump over the crystals.

Tap to jump.

Ask your AI

Make an endless runner: the ball rolls forward on its own and jumps when the player taps. Crystals come from the right, and touching one ends the run. The score is the distance. Make it get harder slowly as the score grows.

View code
if (hit?.grounded && game.isPointerPressed()) ball.vy = -900;
if (game.overlap(ball, crystal)) gameOver();

Shooter

Gems drift down. Tap to fire a star at them before they reach the bottom.

Tap to fire.

Ask your AI

Make a shooting game: gems drift down from the top, and each tap fires a star straight up from the bottom at that spot. A hit makes the gem burst; three gems reaching the bottom end the game. Make it get harder slowly as the score grows.

View code
if (game.isPointerPressed()) fire(game.pointerX);
if (game.overlap(shot, gem)) game.animateExplode(gem);

More ideas

Game types that need a little more than these recipes.

Arcade racing

A road that curves into the distance, like classic arcade racers, is possible through an optional racing module.

Ask for the racing game by name, and describe the track: straights, curves, and hills. The agent loads the racing module and builds the road for you.

Ask your AI

Make a pseudo-3D arcade racing game with a curving road, where the player steers left and right by touch.

Card games

Solitaire, card battles, memory games, and anything else played with a deck are possible through an optional cards module.

Ask for the card game by name and say how it is won. The agent loads the cards module, which deals, flips, and lets players drag cards, and makes the card art as images: a back, a blank front, the four suit symbols, and the jack, queen, and king.

Ask your AI

Make a solitaire card game where I drag cards between columns, with an animated deal and an undo button.

Games to play with friends

Card games, board games, duels, and races for the best time can be played online, each player on their own phone.

Say how many play and how a round goes: taking turns, or everyone playing the same level at once and comparing scores. The agent loads the multiplayer module, which brings the lobby where friends meet with a code or a link, and keeps the game in step on every phone. It is part of Minimo Games Pro.

Ask your AI

Make a card game for 2 to 4 friends, each on their own phone, where we take turns and the first to play all their cards wins.

Quizzes and learning games

Questions with picture answers work well for teaching.

Keep each question short and make the answers pictures to tap. A correct answer gets a jingle and a pulse; a wrong one gets a shake and a second chance.

Ask your AI

Make a quiz for children: show a word, and let them tap the matching picture out of three. Play a jingle for a right answer and shake the picture for a wrong one.
